Passionate new therapists improve residents’ wellbeing

Sep 18, 2024 | 2024, News

We recently welcomed two enthusiastic new therapists to the LITTLE EDEN team.

Occupational therapist, Rebecca Aitken, helps residents develop skills that lead to greater independence and self-confidence. During sessions, she works on aspects from fine motor skills to sensory integration, enabling residents to engage more fully in daily activities.

Shanice, our new physiotherapist, is dedicated to improving the physical well-being of residents. Her tailored exercises and treatments are designed to increase mobility, reduce pain, and enhance overall physical health.

The combined efforts of these two professionals have already begun to make a noticeable difference, bringing smiles, comfort, and a wonderful sense of achievement to children and adults living with profound intellectual and physical disabilities.

Their work underscores the value of encouraging residents to participate in activities and exercises that have a lasting impact in terms of quality of life.
