Pictured above are two recent additions to the dedicated staff at LITTLE EDEN – physiotherapist Lindie Ackerman and occupational therapist, Michael Mathole.
With a background in athletics and a passion for working with people with disabilities, Lindie has transitioned from private practice to specialising in supporting individuals with special needs.
Given the unique needs of our residents, Michael uses play to address physical limitations, stimulate sensory experiences and enhance overall quality of life. From optimising posture and seating to engaging residents in stimulating activities, Michael’s programme integrates seamlessly into the residents’ daily routines.
Whilst Lindie and Michael are based at Domitilla & Danny Hyams Home in Edenvale, Music Coordinator, Charmaine Berkhout, is based at Elvira Rota Village, ensuring that the residents are given an opportunity to express themselves through group and individual music sessions.
