I can write my name!

Thanks to a literacy programme developed by Italian volunteers, Elena and Valentina, 30 Elvira Rota Village residents are learning basic numeracy and literacy.

Each goes at his or her own pace, diligently completing homework in their own time – and the value of this programme was seen recently when Daniella, who was on holiday at the beach, was able to write her name in the sand.
